Fiber optic bus controllers - Accessories for partial discharge measurement products

The MCU is the transmitter between the MPD and the operating computer for PD measurements.

All signals of the MPDs are transferred via fiberoptic bus. Since no electrical connection to the MCU exists, these devices are electrically isolated making them very safe. In addition, the signal quality remains intact even with long cables, and with interference from electrical or magnetic fields.

The MCU is supplied via the USB cable, and the measurement procedure is controlled conveniently from the operating computer. Synchronization to the mains frequency can be done using light-sensitive diodes or the built-in quartz crystal.
